Porcelain gnome

Quantity

Gnome dressed in a chenille, cloth and plissé dress, inspired by the pomegranate fruit, finished with coconut fibre, flowers, antenna and bells.

In Greek culture, the pomegranate was connoted as a symbol of the life/death dualism thanks to the myth of Persephone, the daughter of Demeter and Zeus, who had to spend 6 months of the year with her husband Hades in the realm of the dead for having eaten 6 pomegranate seeds. She was also associated with Hera, wife of Zeus, as a fruit of fertility and as a symbol of the mother she nurtures. The pomegranate fruit is the quintessential symbol of abundance.

NB: it is a handmade product, entirely handmade. The photo must be considered purely indicative, since each piece is subject to slight modifications (fabrics and finishes), which however do not alter its peculiar characteristics, increasing its value.

Please specify any special requests (concerning the color of the dress or hair) when ordering.
