Pumpkin Hop

The name of the Hop comes from the Latin Humulus Lupulus, "humulus" for "low, humble" and "lupulus" for "wolf". Pliny the Elder called this plant "the wolf of the willows" alluding to the tenacity with which the fickle stems of the hops attach themselves to the willow, squeezing it tightly. Also, like the wolf, this plant grows wild and free on the earth.
